What is Matrix MLM System?

The matrix MLM System is defined as a compensation system with fixed width and depth with first two, three, four etc. members on the first level depending on the structure of the matrix. For example in a 3x15 matrix the first number represents the width of the matrix and the second number is the depth. Once the first level is filled then the rest of the members are added to the next available positions/spots on the tree. This is called spillover.

Matrix MLM System is a unique system compared to other compensation system. Matrix companies may choose narrower or deep levels to attract distributors with more compensation possibilities.

How does the Matrix MLM System works?

Let’s explain the Matrix MLM System using an example. Consider a 3x2 matrix system, here number 3 represents width and number 2 represents depth or height. These two elements stay fixed (width and depth). A 3x2 matrix tree will look like (see below)

Here the width (3) is the maximum number of members addable on a level. Once the 3 members add up in a matrix tree, the first level is literally completed. The next joining members (for example the fourth member or referral joining) are placed at the next level (2nd level). So, on the first level, there are only three members.

The process of adding members/referrals to the next levels (level 2,3,4,5, etc.) after filling the first level is known as spillover. The position is based on the next available spot.

At the next level, there will be 9 members/referrals, and in total, a 3x2 matrix tree will have 13 members/referrals (1 [sponsor] + 3 members [First level] + 9 members [Second level]). A matrix cycle completes once this is achieved.

Distributors are forced to add them in the second or deeper levels as there is a limit in width. That’s why a matrix plan is also known as a ‘forced matrix plan’.

Later on, members added by uplines are spillover under Distributor X’s second level. The second level thus got filled. So, once Member X adds a new member, say Y, then Y will get added to the next available level i.e. third level. Click here to join matrix 5
Matrix MLM company provides 5% as the position bonus
Both new members have joined in under $100 package
Member X receives $5 as position bonus because the first member joined within the matrix (2nd level of 3x2 matrix)
Member X didn’t get any position bonus for the second member as the new member was positioned outside the matrix (3rd level)
The positions on the second level were already filled by upline members

How to Get Maximum Spillover?

When joining Matrix MLM System/Program the first thing you need look at is the matrix structure especially the width of the matrix. For example a matrix with a 2x3 structure is matrix with 2 members from the first level. It's the first number that should be of most interest to you when looking for a matrix with high spillover. In this case its number 2 you should look at. Compare 2x3 vs 5x5 matrix structure, which matrix you think will get you high spillunder/spillover in a short time?...the answer is 2x3 matrix. Let's say you joined 2x3 matrix and you occupy the first spot level 1 of a 2x3 matrix. Then your sponser recruits two more members making 3 in total. Since 2x3 matrix only permits 2 members in level 1 the third member will be spillunder you. As for 5x5 matrix your sponser would require to recruit 6 members before you get spillunder.

In summary there are 2 factors to consider when looking for maximum spillover. The first is the width of the matrix : 5x6 ? 3x15 ? The second is who is your DIRECT upline member (not necessarily your sponsor). If you spillunder a lazy person waiting for spillover then you won't see any spillover for quite some time.

Spilling of Matrix Members

New members are added from the top available positions to the bottom levels as well as from left to right available positions. In some Matrix MLM System, members might get the privilege to add new members to their matrix cycle as per their preferences.
